Our little Raindropz can't get enough of the #halloween fun this month, so the magical and mysterious crafts continue. Sure we are still finding traces of glitter and glue all over the house, but it's certainly worth it for the fun we had creating these #halloween Puffy Paint designs.
Every child is an artist, and we don't know about you but watching their imagination come to life in front of our eyes is something that brings us so much joy. The fact that they're not thinking about whether their painting is good enough, or how it will be judged, but the fact that they're just enjoying painting it.
Selecting from an array of different brightly coloured paints is fun, but there was something extra exciting about creating our own cloudlike rainbow coloured paints that took the fun to a whole new level. The paints turned out so much better than we expected, they were super fluffy, like marshmallow ice-cream. They definitely looked good enough to eat (Billy did attempt to, let's not condone that one)! It was so easy and so quick and the paints were easy to wash away too. An all round great craft for all the family to enjoy.
Materials needed;
White Glue
Shaving Foam/Gel (we used blue gel as that's all we had, it worked great but id recommend using white shaving foam if you have it)
Food Colouring and/or Paints
Glitter (optional)
Paint Brush (or fingers for extra fun but more mess)
Method:
Step 1: Draw a picture on a sheet of white paper. We chose #halloween designs.
Step 2: Mix even amounts of glue and shaving cream/gel into a small bowl.
Step 3: Add a few drops of chosen food colouring or a squeeze of your paint (we used both)
Step 4: For an extra touch of #raindropznroses magic, add in a sprinkle of glitter too!
Step 5: Mix well and watch your fluffy sparkly puffy paints come to life.
Step 6: Get your paint brushes ready and create your puffy paint brush #and halloween pics!
Step 7: Let your pictures dry and then show off your work!
We honestly had so much #fun creating these #spooktacular #halloween pics. You could even use these paints in the garden on a warmer day to add a touch of colourful puff to your outdoor space, as they wash away so easily. I am sure the devilish grins on your little ones' faces at the prospect of painting the garden would be too cheeky to bear!
We'd love to hear how you and your little ones found this activity so please let us know in the comments below, and don't forget to share any snaps with us on our Instagram page with hashtag #raindropznroses for us to enjoy! Also, if you haven't already, we'd love you to give us a cheeky follow on Instagram too @raindropznroses.
